Shanti | Class of 2026 Senior Session at Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Pittsburgh

Shanti had an incredible senior session at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History! This location was especially perfect because Shanti will be studying to become a paleontologist when she heads to college this year. As a member of the Class of 2026, she absolutely lit up the dinosaur halls — we captured her confident personality among massive skeletons, dramatic murals, and beautiful museum architecture. From standing under giant T-Rex skulls to exploring immersive prehistoric exhibits, her passion and excitement shone through in every single photo.

Eliezer Barros

Eliezer’s love for photography began at young age when he spent time with his father, who was a missionary in Brazil’s Amazon rainforest. As part of his work, Eliezer’s father photographed people, rivers, boats, native villages, and churches. Later, when Eliezer entered college, he had the opportunity to study photography, but without a good quality camera, he was hesitant to pursue it. When his mother offered him money to buy a used car, he had other plans. With his mother’s blessing, he bought a Canon SRL film camera in 1982. Those early years with a camera in hand shaped a lifelong obsession with light, moment, and story.

In the late 1990s and begging of 2000s, long before most portrait photographers trusted digital, Eliezer was already one of the very first in Brazil and after in Pittsburgh to shoot fine-art work exclusively on digital cameras (a bold move at the time that put him years ahead of the curve). More than two decades and thousands of sessions later, his portfolio spans everything from iconic high school senior portraits and multi-generational family stories to executive headshots, architectural commissions, sweeping urban cityscapes, and contemplative fine-art landscapes.

Trained in Architectural and Urban Design, Eliezer brings a rare blend of technical precision and artistic vision to every frame. His work doesn’t just document a moment; it reveals the personality, the place, and the emotion behind it. Clean, contemporary, and timeless, his images feel as relevant today as they did when he first pressed the shutter twenty-five years ago.

Whether you’re a senior ready to celebrate the launch of your future, a family wanting to freeze this exact chapter, a brand in need of elevated headshots and architectural imagery, or an art collector, or simply someone who believes the world deserves to be seen beautifully, Eliezer still approaches every session with the same wide-eyed curiosity he had as a kid on the Amazon riverbank.

In 1983 I met Esther, and she became my first and only girlfriend, the most beautiful girl in the church! We married in 1988. In 1996 my beautiful miracle Stephanie was born, and shortly after 2000 my youngest miracle arrived Christine.

I have taken around 7,000 photos on film and 35.000 digital images of my family (possibly a world record!). They are the strongest inspiration and support for my artistic side. Without Esther (Recently I discovered that I am fully dyslexic, which explains why so much of my life has been so difficult.), I would never have been able to accomplish anything.

Pittsburgh-based, globally inspired, and always shooting for what’s next..
